NEWCASTLE City Council will review whether it is viable to maintain the snake exhibit at Blackbutt Reserve after the theft of its main attraction, Fluffy the diamond python.

Fluffy was stolen on Saturday night.

A Newcastle City Council spokeswoman said yesterday that it was the second time Fluffy had been taken in the past six months.

"The estimated total cost of repairing damage incurred following the break-ins is $3000," she said. "The cost of repairs considerably outweighs the value of the snake."
